My parents have been part of Diamond Resorts for the last 12 years. Due to health issues they no longer have the ability to travel. Therefore they no longer need their Diamond Resort points. Not only is there absolutely no value to these points now Diamond Resorts is forcing them to pay their maintenance fees for this year (threatening to send them to collections). The kicker is that they have paid there fees but have to relinquish a vacation already booked and would basically have no access to the points for this year in order to put in their 'transition application'.
Essentially this means they have paid another $US4,000 and get absolutely nothing for it.

Do not deal with this company!!! It is a scam ad loyalty means nothing!!
