I recently was working for the Dollar General in Plainfield, New Jersey. I had to end up quitting after just 2 days. I don't know what they consider training, but the first day someone stayed with me for 15 minutes then left me on my own. I have never worked in retail before and I felt very upset and overwhelmed because of this. The on my second day my manager Ashley asked me to do returns after I clock out. I didn't know what that was, and her and her associate started laughing hysterically just because I didn't know what that meant. I found both of them to be very unprofessional and I felt be-littled by that. It got me so upset that I ended up leaving. If someone had take the time to stay by my side for 2-3 days I could have learned. I think the manager that hires you should look at your resume so they know your background so they know you need help and need to be trained. If they would have been more professional and taught me properly I might still have a job. The worse part was the laughing at me, it was horrible.
