A few years ago .. When I was 22 I was referred to Morris Ritz to have some reconstructive surgery performed on my calf muscle of my right leg .. There was nothing wrong with my leg physically , I in fact was a runner in school and was a very athletically active person . The surgeries Morris Ritz performed , have left me physically and psychologically 'broken', for the past few years I've suffered severe PTSD .. And have never been able to walk properly since . My leg is ridden with scar tissue as the implants he put into my leg , were the wrong size , shape and position . Now I've been left completely deformed and with a chronic disability . One of the surgeries was performed without general anaesthesia as I was told it would not hurt , it was the most excruciating agonising experience of my life, I truly thought I was going to die from the pain.. I told him several times , that I could feel everything . I was crying, A nurse had to hold my hands together and stroke my forehead .. Breathe with me .. As though I was having a baby .. He did not stop the surgery, I was tossed out into a taxi.. My leg became infected .. As I was too terrified to go back to him and there was no follow up call on his behalf. I will live everyday for the rest of my life with stretching , massaging , physio therapy , psychological support .. And with a leg that will never be the same. I never suffered from depression before hand- but I e struggled ever since to be okay emotionally, the physical disability has taken the biggest toll on my life . I was a young fit , mother of three your girls- my life has never been the same and never will be.

Dr. Morris RItz from the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery continues to attempt to cover the truth about his practice, by shameless self-promotion on the internet. He touts himself as the breast surgeon you can 'trust' despite being held legally liable for the fact that a patient of his LOST an entire breast and much much more... A friend of mine emailed the surgery after viewing this story, out of concern, and was told that the program was 'biased' and that it alluded to Dr. Ritz as being a mere cosmetic surgeon with no significant training! WRONG! In the program Mrs. Mullins stated that Dr. Ritz was a fully qualified plastic/reconstructive surgeon, and while it may 'seem' easy to dismiss 'tabloid' TV shows such as 60 minutes for not being in depth enough, one thing you can be GUARANTEED OF is this: A highly successful commercial show with a seriously successful commercial television network will have a team of legal experts that make sure what is stated in cases like these is the TRUTH. There is simply to much to lose otherwise, And so it is, that greedy, rich plastic surgeons who own and operate their own private surgeries, with profit margins that make them look more like multinationals than medical practices, get outed by commercial business that understands the game as much--- if not better--- than themselves.
