I had a great consult with Dr. Stagnone. I "tried on" the implants and asked several questions. Once I decided on a size I took a picture and scheduled surgery. That was the last time I saw Dr. Stagnone. After surgery I formed what is called a Mondor's Cord and was told not to worry about it. When I asked to see Dr. Stagnone I was told that I would have to schedule another appointment if I wanted to see him. I started out with one Mondor's Cord under my right breast. I ended up with 2 under my right and 3 under my left. When I called Stagnone's office I was again told don't worry about it and was not "able" to speak directly to Dr. Stagnone. I also had no feeling in either nipple, which is a risk, I know, I just had questions. Like "Is this temporary"? "Is there anything I can do"? Now let me back up, after breast augmentation at Dr. Stagnone's office you return the next day to be put in a compression bra, then you have a 2 week check-up and then a 6 week check-up. At the 2 week check-up I was told if I wanted to see Dr. Stagnone on my 6 week check-up I would have to request it. I did. So, by the time my 6 week check-up rolls around all swelling has gone down the Mondor's Cords are almost all gone but...I am not happy with the size. My boobs are a bit smaller than the picture I took of the implant in my bra. I tell this to the "lady who comes in to take my after pics" she tells me well I would told you to go up a size because the implant is going to be smaller when it's under skin vs. a bra. Makes sense. Wish I was told that during the consult when I specifically asked if the size I chose would be the size I would eventually be. When picture girl was done, in walks an office manager NOT Dr. Stagnone. I was told if I wasn't happy I cold pay to have the surgery re-done. I didn't want the surgery re-done I just wanted my questions answered by the doctor that I chose to perform surgery on my body. Instead I found another doctor who answered my questions and didn't make me feel like I wasn't important after he got his check.
I hope that if you choose Dr. Stagnone your surgery goes perfectly and you don't have any concerns or questions. Because if you do, you can forget about voicing them to the "professional", get ready to sit down with the help.
