New 9 volt batteries leaking

I bought a tube of eight 9v Duracell Coppertops. Three of the batteries were leaking in packaging and another battery showed zero voltage. Four out of 8 NG!

This is not the first time I've had problems with Duracells. I will not buy them anymore.

What happened to this formerly reliable product?
