I signed and accepted a Parent Funeral Policy through Edgars which I was paying together with my monthly instalment. I received an updated document last on 24 Oct 2014 and I mailed Edgars last week to request updated policy documents. They reverted to me stating that the policy was cancelled. I have never cancelled this Parent Funeral Cover and assumed that it formed part of my instalment each month. This is completely unacceptable, who cancelled this? Who gave Edgars the right to cancel something that I signed up for. What happens to the premiums I have paid?
I would like this matter escalated immediately as this is fraudulent and dishonest- Edgars needs to give me an explanation and compensation since 2014.This is the only funeral plan I have for my parents and if anything happened to either one of them, I would have been in a very difficult situation. The negligence of Edgars has placed me in serious risk as my dad had a heart attack and a stroke a year ago - what if he had past away???
I would like feedback urgently as my parents are currently not covered in the event of their death -thanks to Edgars.
