After spending $4,000 to send my daughter on a 12 day tour if Spain, France and Italy this summer, I learned the students were jammed into a bus without air conditioning and windows that would not open for two days and many continuous hours of travel. The temperatures in the region have been well above 100 degrees! I called the tour company's emergency phone only to be told problem had not been reported to them but they would address it. I am still waiting to find out if that will actually happen, so far it has not. apparently The driver continued to deny there was even a problem for two days, with a non chalant attitude about it.
Their blatant disregard for the dangers posed by extreme heat inside of a vehicle with closed windows are mind blowing.
