Please confirm that the complaint I submitted via your online website, transmitted properly. I did not receive a confirmation and every time I entered the code (at least five different ones), an error message indicated: The code is wrong or too old.
My complaint summary follows:
I reside at 7134 S. Lafayette Ave. I previously shared an apartment with my 90 years old Mom, but she expired on March 23, 2015. The bill was in my Mom's name; therefore, I'm now taking responsibility for the electric bill. The amount that was due in April was $242.89. That bill was delivered via mail last week. I called ComEd and paid that amount today. The next payment of $202.75 is due On 5/21/15. When I requested to switch the account over into my name, in the same household, I was told it could only happen if I put a $345.00 deposit down. I asked why that was necessary with only a name change, the Rep said the credit check required it. I do not owe anybody anything. My credit report, only reflected two accounts in collection for non payment of medical bills in dispute. I have paid both bills off, to clear the record. Both totaled under $300.00. I currently pay (and on time) Comcast (over 20 yrs as a customer), Verizon Cell, State Farm Auto Insurance. two TimeShares, the HH Gas Bill and my sister and I pay $600.00 per month on a Mortgage and share all other property expense obligations/needs. I'm 65 and retired from the State of Illinois after 28 years of services, and I do not believe a deposit to transfer the account in my name is warranted. I also make most of my payments as automatic debits and none of this payments, regardless of the monthly amount due, have been rejected. I've had my checking and savings accounts for over 30 years with no history on NSF problems. Please help me transfer the payment in my name w/o a deposit or fee. Thanks!
