My Name is Tagarino, Bose Tina. I travelled back from New-York (JFK) o your flight on the above dates, with passport No. AO5263793
I had three (3) pieces of baggage, one was overweight. I was asked to pay for one extra baggage and the overweight.
I was directed to the ticketing desk for payment; but to my greatest surprise, I was asked to pay the sum of $325, that is $250 for one extra baggage and $75 for the overweight.
I purchased my ticket in January and by my understanding, the new baggage rate took effect with tickets purchased from April 2018.
Your ticketing staff at the counter threatened me saying ‘If I don’t pay, my baggage would be off loaded from the flight and that I would be put off the flight. I was astonished by their actions, they already called that my baggage should be put out. While I was still inquiring why I have to pay the sum of $325 instead of $225.
I paid the charge by dipping hand into money given to me by a friend for the purpose of her family upkeep. Meanwhile, I had a cousin that travelled on 17th April, 2018 and paid $50 for baggage overweight.
On arrival at Dubai before boarding my flight to Lagos, I met your staff and they checked with my boarding pass and gave me a print out which I have attached with other documents. They told me that I was overcharged by $100.
