My husband went to have his prescritpion filled as he does once a month and has for over 15 years and Express-Scripts denied the refill. He called them and no answer was given other than it needed prior approval. He called his doctors office and they submitted the form for approval and it was still denied. It went up for an emergency appeal and it was still denied without reason. Then he was told they wanted him to take a alternative medication. The doctor told them he couldn't go from one type of medication to another and that he needed this medicine. They still refused to fill his medicine. He ended up in the hospital because they won't fill his medicine. How can they deny someone their medicine that they have been taking for 15 years?
