I discovered this morning, after looking at my checking account, that Facebook somehow hacked into my checking acct and charged my account TWO times on TWO different days last week!
I no longer have a FB acct, and this is one of the MANY reasons why I shut my FB acct down over 4 years ago. My FB acct was hacked for the first time about 7 yrs ago. I quickly changed all of my passwords and moved on. Then, 3 yrs later, it was hacked into again...along with my hotmail acct...so, I decided that I was done with all of it. I closed both my FB and email accounts. Now, somehow, FB has done it AGAIN, except this time, they've STOLEN from my checking account. I have a chronically ill 7 year old whose disease, at any time, could flair up causing us to have to rush her to our hospital's pediatric ER. Since my debit card has been deactivated by the bank, per my husband's and my request to keep further theft, we'll have to use other methods to pay our copay upon arrival. I know that may seem like a silly thing to worry about; however, there have been times that when my daughter's disease flaired up, she had to be entibated and placed in a medically induced coma. At that point my husband and I aren't mentally focusing on how's the copay is getting paid, bc we're scared to death about our child (should it be paid by the debit card or a check-that's if one of us remembered to grab the checks before running out of the house to get to the hospital). However, the fact still remains that the copay, along with all of the thousands of dollars in hospital bills that we incur each time (even after my medical insurance pays their portion) have to be paid. My husband and I monitor our account constantly to make sure we are aware of all activity in order to ensure we have our finances in order to pay every day bills, but when the medical bills come in, there's no wiggle room. I'm a 2ND grade teacher and my husband works for an insurance company. We feel extremely blessed to have our amazing jobs, but with these types of jobs, we're able to pay our bills and still have a little left for us to do fun family activities with our twins. WE DO NOT HAVE EXTRA CASH IN OUR ACCT/MONTHLY BUDGET FOR FACEBOOK (or, whoever is accountable for stealing from us) TO STEAL FROM US!!! Thanks to FACEBOOK, I'm once again left being the one who has to jump through hoops to sort out/fix another problem!! I'm sorry for this "rant," but I feel violated.
FACEBOOK-IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP PEOPLE SAFE FROM HACKERS WHILE USING YOUR WEBSITE. WHEN I DID HAVE AN ACCOUNT, MY SETTINGS WERE ALL SET TO THE HIGHEST PROTECTION LEVEL, YET I WAS STILL HACKED 2 TIMES, AND NOW MY CHECKING ACCOUNT HAS BEEN STOLEN FROM. YOUR COMPANY EMPLOYEES ARE PAID VERY WELL, FROM THE VERY TOP EXECUTIVES DOWN TO THE ACCOUNT MANAGERS. I'VE RESEARCHED IT, AND EVEN YOUR LOWEST PAID PEOPLE MAKE MORE THAN I DO AFTER 16 YEARS AS A 2ND GRADE TEACHER WITH MY MASTERS DEGREE. I DID NOT BECOME A TEACHER TO BECOME RICH...I BECAME A TEACHER TO MAKE THE MINDS OF MY 2ND GRADERS RICHER. HOWEVER, THE MONEY THAT MY HUSBAND AND I DO MAKE IS NOW SPREAD VERY THIN SINCE MY DAUGHTER BECAME CHRONICALLY ILL WITH A DISEASE THAT EVEN HER AMAZING SPECIALISTS HAD A HARD TIME DIAGNOSING DUE TO IT BEING A "NEWER" DISEASE IN THE SPECTRUM OF CHRONIC DISEASES. ONE YEAR AGO, MY HUSBAND AND I WERE TOLD THAT WE NEEDED TO PREPARE OURSELVES FOR THE WORST BECAUSE THE ODDS WEREN'T IN HER FAVOR. HOWEVER, ONE SPECIALIST STUDIED HER "CASE" AT LENGTH AND FINALLY WAS ABLE TO DIAGNOSE HER, BUT SHE'LL HAVE TO LIVE WITH THIS DISEASE FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE. MY POINT TO ALL OF THIS IS THAT PEOPLE DESERVE BETTER TREATMENT AND PROTECTION FROM YOUR COMPANY. I'M ASKING YOU TO DO YOUR JOB AND STOP VIOLATING THE VERY PEOPLE WHO USE YOUR WEBSITE, WHICH ALLOWS YOUR COMPANY TO GROW, FLOURISH, AND BECOME WEALTHIER. WITHOUT THE PEOPLE WHO USE YOUR SITE, YOUR COMPANY WOULDN'T BE WORTH A PENNY, AND THOSE VERY GENEROUS PAYCHECKS YOU HAND OUT TO YOUR EMPLOYEES WOULD BE NONEXISTENT.

Its terrible and disgusting to see all these back yard breeders, on facebook, selling puppies, just so they can make money, and the stupid idiots that are keeping them in buisness, and buying from them.I have noticed a lot of them are fomr the Carolinas.Shame on these uneducated people.Thousands are dieing everyday, in shelters, and yet they just keep bringing more into this world.

Facebook is over run with Back yard breeders, selling puppies & dogs, it is pretty disgusting.Why do they allow this to go on.

there is no excuse for Facebook to be abetting this horrific crime against animals. there needs to be a moral platform of some sort or we are ALL to blame.
