I just purchased a used vehicle a few days ago with this dealership. I paid over $5200 in CASH at Family Auto Mart in Melbourne. I can't even begin to list everything that was found wrong with it after I got it home and had a mechanic look at it. The thing that really upsets me is that even though I signed the "arbitration" paper, I did not understand that I was giving up all my rights to take any issues to court.

The salesman, Manny Rodriguez, kept talking and shoving papers in front of me. He lied to me when I asked if the vehicle was inspected during the test drive. He said yes. When I asked what the noise was that was coming from the back, he said it was the dealer plate moving around and making noise. I found out when my mechanic looked at it yesterday, that the whole exhaust system is inches from the ground and rotted. The top of the car under the luggage rack is rotted. Under the seats is rotted. I just found out there are NUMEROUS recalls on this vehicle from Ford. I don't know a whole lot about cars which was to their advantage. I don't "feel" I was taken advantage of, I "KNOW" I was taken advantage of. My mechanic was unavailable to go with me that day.

I have an appointment with "David" the Sales Manager and I'm driving the car back there. My mechanic is writing up a list of all the problems he found with the car and I'm taking it with me.

Seems I bought a huge driveway ornament because it sits and is unsafe to drive.
