Cheating
Mr. Anoop Menon, who is working in FAB(before it was FGB) giving all the details, information related to bank customers who lost their jobs and went back to India to local collection agents. He is providing contact details to local cash collection team in India. They are cheating people by saying that they will settle their debt with small amounts, but once they get cash they started calling and threatening the people who lost their jobs. Mr. Anoop Menon(working in FAB Deira Dubai Branch) itself started a company(in his friends name) named Kredit Zone in Cochin India and he is getting a large amount of commission by doing this kind of cheating Job. Dear Central Bank of UAE kindly do something.

CREDIT CARD MISCHARGES
Dear Sir/Madam,
Good Morning! I write to get your assistance in resolving the unauthorized and unjustified deductions of varying amounts by FGB from my NBAD account.
It was on February 26, 2018 when I first got a deduction in the amount of AED 3,093. The very next day, February 27, another AED 1,000 was deducted from my NBAD account, prompting me to call NBAD to get information on the two consecutive deductions. I was simply told that the debits, as per the system, were for "FGB Liability."
I then called up FGB at 600525500 where the attending agent explained that the deductions may be for missed or delayed payments. However, upon further check, the agent agreed that I had no payment delinquency.
On March 26, 2018, a staggering amount of AED 5,400 was deducted from my salary. This was followed by another deduction of AED 1,700 on March 27, 2018.
I called NBAD another time, to be told by the bank's Michael Munther that all the monies, now totaling AED 11,193, are "on hold" against "FGB Liabilities," but not credited as credit card payments.
Next, I called FGB where the attending agent, not being able to provide a concrete explanation, offered to forward my complaint to the Collection Department.
On March 29, 2018, Melchor of FGB corroborated the finding of NBAD that the monies are, in fact, on hold and not credited as payments to FGB.
I am diligent in paying my credit cards with both NBAD and FGB, and have no other liabilities with them. I have not defaulted on any monthly payment also.
Now, my current account with NBAD shows a balance of -AED 3,600.
Given the circumstances involving two banks - that have recently merged adding to the complexity of the situation - as described above, I am impelled to bring my dilemna up to the Central Bank. I hope that by doing so, I will get a speedy resolution to my case and get access to the monies that are lawfully mine.
I hope for your positive reply. Thank you!
Best Regards,
Joyce Quimsing

CREDIT SHIELD DELAY
I would like to claim credit shield as I am facing involuntary job loss.
I had already approached collection department FGB, Mussafah branch for the same a couple of times. But I am very sorry to say you that I had a very bad experience from them which is very disappointing and unexpected from a reputed bank like FGB. On my every visit they required me to provide different set of documents for providing credit shield. The only immediate action I had from them rather than providing me credit shield was blocking my card.
On my last visit I was asked to provide a different set of document which includes my offer letter too.
I do not have the offer letter with me as it has been five years since I joined the company. Also I would like to remind you that, these documents weren't asked while applying for the credit shied. As I am able to produce you all the other required documents like labour contract, visa copy, termination letter etc it well defines that I work In that company.
I have provided all the other documents and I am waiting for your procedures to provide me the same as soon as possible. Please do the needful .

Insurance 360 Plan
I m using my FGB Credit card from last 2 years . last month i have received a call from an FGB Agent. She told me that i m going to get some benefits as i m there prevailed customer. She asked me for the OTP password which they sent to my mobile number , but at that time i didnt receive any passwords to my mobile . then she asked me 3 security questions. After the verification she asked me about the beneficiary details . she told me that all ur benefits are going to get ur beneficiary. she never mentioned me that this is an insurance plan or i have to pay 750 Dhs per year and all.
Next statement when i saw the deduction of the monthly installment for the insurance, i made a call to the customer care. they asked me if its insurance related query its a separate dept. they connected me to the insurance department. that people started asking me " y u gave the beneficiary name if u r not interested for insurance" /. i asked them y you people didn't inform me that this is an insurance plan instead of benefit for my card. Now they are telling me that this cant be cancelled as i agreed it for 3 years plan . they can only cancel the remaining 2 years . first year i have to pay the amount of 750 Dhs as 12 month installation.
This is a kind of cheating . My colleague also having the same issue with them . They promised him to reverse back the amount after several calls.
Please help me to sort this out .

Charged 500 AED as Annual Maiantenance Charge for a Free for life Card
GRIEVANCE: "My FGB credit card was FREE for Life (as told by the agent at the time of documentation). Now, my credit card has been charged 500 AED as Annual maintenance charge.". When I complained to customer care 600525500, Agent "Karina - FGS4315" told that I HAVE TO pay 500 AED before due date. When I insisted to cancel my card. She said, still I have to pay 500 AED annual charge only then I can request for cancellation of card. If I don't pay 500 AED before 10th April 2016 (due date), penalty of 200 will be levied and will make my liability to the bank to 700 AED which will increase by 200 AED + interest every month. When I said, I want an email from FGB confirming that I have to pay 500 AED and it will not be reversed. She said, that will not be done. FGB will never send an email to confirm that Annual maintenance charge of 500 AED on my credit card will never be reversed. Do whatever you want as you don't have written proof and no court will accept the same. She offered me reversal of 500 AED only if I take a loan of large amount from the credit card. This is the most unprofessional business tactics I have ever seen by any bank to force a customer to get into a debt in such a volatile job market where jobs are unpredictable and salaries are lowered. Customer care people are deaf and will not listen to understand the issue. They are just after to fulfill their sales quota by hook or by crook.
I am now screwed. I have been penalised for no fault of mine. I warn every reader of this post to never OPT for FGB credit card ever in their life. FGB agent tell that the card is free for life and then bank charges a hefty amount as annual maintenance charge and puts un-necessary mental torture and harassment. 500 AED is not a small amount for anyone. A lot of things can be bought for this amount. Why the hell will I opt to have a credit card with annual charge when the market is flooded with Free for life credit cards from a 98% of banks of UAE. I don't had any payment dues till date with FGB.
RESOLUTION: I want senior management of FGB to look into this matter seriously. Reverse 500 AED back to my credit card and then confirm by email that my card is free for life or else cancel my card after making my liability to zero.
Kind regards,
Sharique Rais

FGB Credit Card Overdue
Hi,
I have a credit card from FGB, last year I lost my job and had to go to India and I could not pay the card outstanding.
I got a new job last month and came to UAE. I was caught on the Airport Immigration asking me to pay AED 22000 as FGB filed a case against me. Somehow I was able to arrange the amount and came out of the Airport.
I called up bank authorities to settle my credit card but bank asked me to pay AED 16000 more they told my total outstanding was AED 40000 but actually used amount is approx. AED 30000.
Now, I don't have this much amount and even ready to pay to balance 6 to 7 K which is actually overdue but they are intimidating me for civil case and forcing me to pay full.
Please advise and help me.
