FGB Credit Card

Dear Sir,

I have requested for a liability letter for my credit card second time on 30th of May 2017 through customer care service (Ref.SR 9770355). Customer care representative confirmed on 06th June 2017 that it can be collected on (08-06-2017) from FGB-Sheikh Sayed Branch, Dubai. I got message that mentioned service request is closed on (06-06-2017) itself.

I visited the mentioned branch on (08-06-2017) and they told they are not having the letter and asked to call the customer care from there itself.

I called customer care and they confirmed that letter is processed already and they will put a mail to check why branch is not accessing this letter.

I asked branch people to recheck after one hour on the status, but they still don't have the letter.

Since then i placed several requests, complaints (Ref. SR9802316) with confirmation that i will get a call back and i am not having any update on this till now.

What is the use of getting a letter after validity with sole reason of delay from bank and you people keep on charging 100dhs per letter each time.

I even didn't dream that FGB will be such an unprofessional bank, i was your customer all these years and the response i am receiving from your customer service agents and even branch manager is very pathetic.

Hope someone will understand the difficulty we people are facing and help us out. Either give more validity for this liability letter or else hand over the letter at least without any drama.

Kindly do something to release my requested liability letter at the earliest.

Poor Customer Service from Team Leaders and with no Consideration

Dear FGB,

I have relocated to Kuwait in October 2016 and I had traveled without settling my remaining balance of AED 1,600. It has incurred one month interests and I was in contact with Nishant Baidhur who has kept sending me emails threatening to take legal action for not paying. I have sent a very clear email on what situation and was requesting flexibility on the payments and that to allow me to get my civil ID and transfer money for payments. But there's no way Nishant has cared about my situation and was like a typical employee caring only whether the payment has been done or not. I have finally sent the money to close my accounts and because it came late, there was another charges that came in. I have balance of AED 73 and they said they cant close my account because of the balance of which they have added as a penalty charge for paying late.

I have no interest to pay this AED 73 because I have paid my dues. I need you to wave this off and close my account.

I would request you and your team to be HUMAN atleast. I am no longer a resident in UAE and I no longer wish to here about you and the banking team. Please close my account immediately. Ive been so stressed out in my country getting mails from you and your team that doesnt reply to my mails but just kept sending mails of LEGAL NOTICE! Useless Team Leader. A robot. A human machine. God Bless you and your AMAZING TEAM of HUMAN BEING.

LSP & Active 360

Renewal charges on a free card


I have an FGB credit card. In Oct 2016, I was charged Dh350 each for LSP & Active360 renewal. I mailed FGB and asked to cancel the charges I told them I don’t want any insurance and they could credit the charged amount to my account next month.
I am waiting for Reply.

I would like to know is their any thing additional i can do for cancellation of such Unwanted charges.

Transaction on my credit card without my permission

I was offered an insurance plan through FGB behalf of Oman insurance. I paid amount for 12 months and after completing the duration my card used by bank to renew my issurance without my permission. It was clearely mention in begining that FGB won't renew this insurance next year without my permission. I called thousand times to bank ,almost everyday and they keep telling me it's under procedure,our representatives will contact you soon. Its been long to listen this from them but no action been taken. Even Oman isurancr said transaction was made by FGB not by us so kindly contact them.Please advise what further steps I can take

Charges 500 AED as annual maintenance charge for free for life credit card

GRIEVANCE: "My FGB credit card was FREE for Life (as told by the agent at the time of documentation). Now, my credit card has been charged 500 AED as Annual maintenance charge.". When I complained to customer care 600525500, Agent "Karina - FGS4315" told that I HAVE TO pay 500 AED before due date. When I insisted to cancel my card. She said, still I have to pay 500 AED annual charge only then I can request for cancellation of card. If I don't pay 500 AED before 10th April 2016 (due date), penalty of 200 will be levied and will make my liability to the bank to 700 AED which will increase by 200 AED + interest every month. When I said, I want an email from FGB confirming that I have to pay 500 AED and it will not be reversed. She said, that will not be done. FGB will never send an email to confirm that Annual maintenance charge of 500 AED on my credit card will never be reversed. Do whatever you want as you don't have written proof and no court will accept the same. She offered me reversal of 500 AED only if I take a loan of large amount from the credit card. This is the most unprofessional business tactics I have ever seen by any bank to force a customer to get into a debt in such a volatile job market where jobs are unpredictable and salaries are lowered. Customer care people are deaf and will not listen to understand the issue. They are just after to fulfill their sales quota by hook or by crook.

I am now screwed. I have been penalised for no fault of mine. I warn every reader of this post to never OPT for FGB credit card ever in their life. FGB agent tell that the card is free for life and then bank charges a hefty amount as annual maintenance charge and puts un-necessary mental torture and harassment. 500 AED is not a small amount for anyone. A lot of things can be bought for this amount. Why the hell will I opt to have a credit card with annual charge when the market is flooded with Free for life credit cards from a 98% of banks of UAE. I don't had any payment dues till date with FGB.

RESOLUTION: I want senior management of FGB to look into this matter seriously. Reverse 500 AED back to my credit card and then confirm by email that my card is free for life or else cancel my card after making my liability to zero.
