Recertification for SNAP is every 6 months in Florida. I was up for Recertification September 30th. I completed ALL VERIFICATION OF EMPLOYMENT records they asked for, and uploaded them to my access account 1 week before the deadline. That was my 1st requirement. My 2nd was to complete a phone interview before the deadline date, and was provided with 1 contact number to do so. I called that number every day, 2 to 5 times a day each time receiving only a voice-mail for a "TANNISSIA ". NEVER RECEIVED A RETURN CALL FROM HER, NEVER RECEIVED ANY CALLS FROM DCF. THE day after my deadline, I received a notice that I was ineligible for SNAP due to "FAILURE TO COMPLETE PHONE APPT ". I immediately reapplied and resubmitted all required documents to my access and again they were processed at their end. I then received a new contact name and number to call to complete my phone interview.
This time it was a Mrs. Winters voice-mail I had the pleasure of leaving messages for 3 times a day for 10 days, never got a call back. Never got a call period. Again, the day after my deadline, another notice of denial due to "FAILURE TO COMPLETE PHONE APPT ". ARE THEY FOR REAL??? IM SO ANGRY AND DONT ANYONE SAY A WORD TO ME ABOUT POLITICS. I DID NOT NOR HAVE I EVER VOTED REPUBLICAN AND IVE WORKED MY ENTIRE LIFE SINCE I WAS 13 AMD IM 53 WITH AN EIGHT YEAR OLD.
FROM THE SIOUNDS OF THINGS, ITS APPARENT DCF IS DOING THIS TO A LOT OF APPLICANTS. THEY WANT US TO WEAR OUT AND GIVE UP. WELL, LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE ORGANIZATION AS A WHOLE IS BROUGHT DOWN ON ITS KNEES PUBLICLY, AND THE MEDIA ASK THEM SOME TOUGH QUESTIONS ON AIR. 53284
