Model number FFHS2311LWB Purchased from Lowes in 2013. 4.5 yr old fridge caught fire....cannot get response from fridgidaire. Tried 3 times to live chat on websit, somehow disconnected 3 times.
Thank god my sons girlfriend was at our house and smelled smoke. Kitchen was full of smoke. She was unplugging the unit and recieved an electrical shock . Husband investigated to find lower right hand back insides were melted and charred.
Also, icemaker did not work , replaced filter ($45 part two weeks ago and cleaned under and beneath fridge) so I am sure it was not from overheating.
Wonder if there have been recalls?
