Refrigerator went out

I purchased a Frigidaire Refrigerator last year. It was installed on May 12 after my kitchen was renovated. I am really wondering if it is going to catch on fire like some of these other complaints. I am not usually the type of person that complains, especially if i am treated fairly. My refrigerator stopped working on Tuesday, May 3. I called Frigidaire to see if someone would come out to fix it. They said the earliest someone could come out would be on Saturday, May 7. So it was going to take 4 days for someone to come out to look at it? In the mean time my food went bad! Now i am being told tough luck. We don't pay for your food that went bad just because our Refrigerator was defective! Not a good answer for me! They did give me the phone number of the company that would be coming out (wrong phone number). Luckily they gave me the name also. I contacted the company and they came out the next day. (good service). Now there was a problem about the purchase date and warranty...Frigidaire did say they would allow it to be under warranty to get repaired without me paying for it.

So not only am i dealing with the refrig problem...4 months ago my Frigidaire dishwasher burnt into the tub and i had water damage to my new cabinets. It burnt on the inside which could have caused a fire. Thank God it didn't, because i was sleeping at the time as i ran the dishwasher at night.

Back to the refrig! Frigidaire/Electrolux is not backing their products. First my dishwasher and now my refrigerator. I can't believe these appliances don't last more than a year! Yes, they fixed my dishwasher. No, they didn't replace it. If they replace it i was informed that they have to warranty it for another year since it is a new product. Personally i am beginning to think that these appliances are not made properly and that it is a big scam to get us to purchase another warranty. The first thing out of someone's mouth when i called is that you can purchase a 3 year warranty for ... NO! Back your products and make sure they work for at least 3 years if not longer!!!

Disastrous Engineering

We purchased an entire package of Frigidaire 'Professional Series' appliances for the kitchen of our new home on September 15, 2012. What we did not know is that the refrigerator had a design flaw whereby the water supply line to the ice maker continually freezes up and you have zero ice making capability. The Model Number is FPHF2399MF5 and Serial Number is 4A23019552. Frigidaire is completely aware of this design flaw however they are stonewalling a possible fix which ends up with customers like me who say NEVER BUY FRIGIDAIRE PRODUCTS AGAIN!

My Frigidaire authorized repair service has verified that every one of these refrigerators that they have serviced has had the same problem. Frigidaire Service Department in Augusta, GA claims that there is a insulation repair kit which will correct the problem. The truth of the matter is that Frigidaire does not have these kits and have no idea as to whether they will actually become available.

I have spent numerous hours speaking with Frigidaire Service Representatives who claim to feel my pain however they have no clue as to how this problem will ever be rectified. The Frigidaire Service Manager in Augusta, Donald Cross does not want to talk to anybody about the problem because Frigidaire is choosing to ignore the problem.

There is only one answer to this issue. NEVER buy a product from Frigidaire because if you have a problem, they have no interest in providing a solution.
