My daughter purchased a $1,100 refrigerator from Home Depot in 10/2019 with an extended warranty, on 12/19/2020 the refrigerator went out and she was told that the main board was bad, and a new one would be ordered and sent to her house, this is 12/26/2020 and she was told a service person would be out on 01/04/2021. Home Depot said under the extended warranty they would cover up to $300 for her food loss, that is preposterous, my daughter is an RN, first responder out her dealing with this pandemic working long hours 7 days a week. When she finally has a chance to cook, she likes to eat well so she keeps her freezer stocked with steaks and seafood because that's what she likes, so she has had to spend additional monies having food delivered. What they are offering is ludicrous and she should be properly compensated for her losses and inconvenience.
