We bought a Nikon camera bundle via eBay in 2015. Camera failed to work less than a year in. Told to get information from Nikon repair centre for their 3 year warranty. Have heard nothing since supplying this information and chasing them. As a U.K. resident can I complain to the AG?

I bought a Nikon camera bundle in 2015 via eBay. It has a three year warranty allegedly but after less that a year it stopped working and despite getting as requested the information from a Nikon repair centre regarding the fault etc I have heard nothing. I suspect they don't want to pay the almost £400 bill. I am encouraged by these posts. As a U.K. resident/citizen, can I make a complaint to the AG?

I bought Nikon digital d700 off eBay uk in jan 20015 by August it had broken I took to repair shop for quote submit that wrote was asked for more detailed quote the circuit board had gone and could be repaired they said they won't fix as the part is not under warranty and could be fixed. So I then got a new quote to replace circuit board which would be under warranty they have refused to payout to have fixed, stating we don't pay for labour or cleaning . What the hell the camera is defective after only taking 500 photos and they are not going to pay for it to be fixed and repair. The original quote was for £165.00 j do not ever buy from these guys ever wtf

I ordered a Nikon D7000 from Getitdigital. The fast shipping put a smile on my face. While, using the camera for almost a month. The "playBack" and the "Menu" button doesn't work. Call the guy name Jay. He told me to clean the inside, lenses, buttons and the LCD. Did that and still didn't solve the issue. I decided to ship to Nikon USA. then received the camera back within 3 weeks. They refused to repair it because they said it's a grey market camera. At first I didn't know what grey market means. But then did a research with google. Surprise me. I call Jay back, and told him it's a grey market version. He told me to go to a local camera repair services and see if they're willing to fix it. The local repair guy said, it's gonna cost $35 just to open it, and few hundreds or even more to fix. I called Jay back, and he told me not to allow the guy to fix it. Then I asked. What do you want me to do now? He said, I can't get a replacement because we don't have the D7000 in stock. I was like WTF? I knew he was lying because 1 day before that, I'd checked on eaby and their website there was still the D7000 listed. He said, let me check. I don't know what to do now. Let me check with my manager and I will call you back tomorrow. I am still waiting for his call and what he has to say.

Selling grey market in the United States in illegal. Contact the AG and give them information, they will go after them. I ran into the same issue two years ago when I bought a Nikon and sent to Nikon USA for repair and they sent in back without repairing it (EVEN with the insurance I bought) because it was grey market. I contact the NY AG and found out they shut the store down and they were order to pay restitution.
