After enrolling my son to one of GKR classes in Adelaide South Australia, I found out that they offer different prices to different people. We were paying nearly double comparing with others in the class. One of occasions, there was a kid fun activity class. A mum from another location was there and told me she is paying (for her kid) another different price, neither the amount I pay nor others in the class. I was shocked by how GKR can run business like this without any consistent and transparent pricing which is part of business integrity. I also noted that the Karate skills of class participants who have orange, yellow or green belts in the class. Arguably the standard of martial arts foundation is pretty low. I have been doing martial arts for over 30 years, not in Karate, but other martial arts styles. I must admit I only attend one particular class. There are more classes through the week. Another note is the sensei, a nice guy, who is teaching the class is doing it for free. GKR is having a free karate teacher to offer lessons while charging the parents double amount of money, in my case, or different prices to different people as long as they can get new member. I share this experience with others to warn you: please be aware what GKR is doing and do your homework and research first.
