When my son makes a prepaid call to me from Hillsdale County Jail, global tel link says dial 0 to accept call. The call only connects about 1 out of 20 times. He calls several times in a day and I feel awful they he cannot get through to me. I have called global tel link 3 times. First they said they didn't service that facility. I called the jail to confirm. Second time they said they would file a repair ticket and I would receive a call within 48 hours. Third call they told me I would have a call back within 7 to 10 days. This service has no problem taking your money and dropping calls. Nobody ever explained I couldn't use visa gift cards to make payments and they blocked my account for using more than 2 credit card numbers in a 30 day period. They did not explain this to me so I kept trying because I know there is money on the card. Every time I tried they susp need my service for an additional 10 days without explaining anything. When I call the gift card visa to check my balance they said they are in pre authorization with GTL. GTL DECLINED MY MONEY BUT HASNT RETURNED IT BACK TO MY BANK? They tell me it's in the cue and will take at least 10 business days to return my money. This has to be illegal!! They won't post the funds or release them but suspended my service ?? WHAT RIGHT DO THEY HAVE? CUSTOMER SERVIVE IS THE WORST! IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO REACH SOMEONE LIVE AFTER HOLDING OVER AN HOUR THEY ARE RUDE AND REFUSE TO EXPLAIN OR ALLOW YOU TO EXPLAIN!! I AM BEYOND ANGRY AND WILL BE FILING A FORMAL COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND COMPLAINT BOARD. I WILL ALSO BE ATTENDING THE ALAMEDA COUNTY COUNCIL MEETING. ANYONE CARE TO JOIN ME? THIS DIS SERVICE AT OUR EXOENSE NEEDS TO BE DEALT WITH ONCE AND FOR ALL

My husband was moved from Centinela Prison to out of state and I can't even use globaltele link where he's at. I still have $59.51 left on my account that I can't even use. I would like a refund put back on to my credit card. Someone needs to contact me regarding this matter I tried calling globaltele link and i've been getting nothing but automative system. I need you help -

I live in Brandon, Mississippi and my son is locked up in the Ventura County Jail (California), I have talked to him a couple of times by accepting his calls. This evening I have received two calls from him that did not get through because there was no way to accept the call (normally dialing zero would accept the call) on the first two calls. On the third call I tried to put money on an account ($25.00) and it sent me to an automated system and entered my credit card number, security number and card expiration date. When I had completed this a service person came on line and I explained what had happened and he said he would look to see if my phone number had been credited, then I got a message that the call had been terminated.

What kind of service is this? I need someone to call me at 601-992-7713 and explain what is going on and what can be done to correct this problem.

i purchased a prepaid card and loaded it with $50 and global tel link declined it then i brought another card and loaded it with $25 and global tel link declined that card...Now its $75 that's floating around somewhere and I've been calling their customer service and they told me there is nothing they can do about it, but i won't stop until i see my $75 so i would advise people to never use global tel link and to just get a house phone that accepts collect calls because global tel link is a rip off.

I put 25$ on my account, and when the person tried to desperately call me repeatedly, he couldn't get trough. I kept calling them about it, and they would just quickly apologize, and tell me they fixed it .But they lied, because the person tried to call me again, and couldn't get through. We were so desperate for the calls that concerned legal matters, and time was of the essence. But the damage was done, and I paid for nothing. I felt so cheated, I couldn't believe it.
