I paid a sum total of R42 000 in May 2014 for visas for my 58 year old mother, 4-year old child and my common-law husband to immigrate to Canada. I put the case on hold due to my mother's illness. I tried to contact Global Visas' (IxP Visas) Cape Town office in September 2015 only to reach their switchboard and be transferred to indefinate 'elevator music' until eventually hanging up. Assuming they were just incredibly busy, I attempted to contact them via Facebook, only to get the shock of my life. They had alledgedly liquidated in August 2014. I had gotten deep into debt to pay the necessary fees, and experienced the repercussions thereof daily, until recently!
