I bought my unit April 2011 from Goodman Manufacturing (Amana) . When fall weather came and it got cooler I kept smelling gas. Atmos Gas company came out 4 times and turned gas off. Air Conditioner technician that installed the unit came out 4 times and couldn't find a leak. I kept having evening headaches. I was advised that it might be the stove in the kitchen leaking. Paid to find out that nothing was wrong with the kitchen stove. The installers sent me a nuisance bill! My neighbors loaned me a heater to use. My wonderful neighbor put soap on the unit and found the leaking bubble which I took a picture of. The a/c installer came out THEN and fixed the leak and other problems. Two years later the a/c went out and I called a tech to come out. He washed the external unit with my garden hose removing an unbelievable amount of dust (dirt or sand) which must have come from sitting out in the open somewhere for an extended period of time In Japan. (It didn't come from my yard.) His bill said 55-80 Mfd Dual Capacitor 55/80MFD CAP. Now here I am at the age of 83 with no a/c again and the temperature 100 degrees today and my thermostat telling
