My husband and I booked a dream quote free cruise. Nothing free. free cruise was for buying into to there club $1400.plus. I called with in 3 day of the 2 year to book. Agent throws a curve, WOW your entitled to a 10 day cruise in Brazil if you would like instead of the 7 days. I fell for it hook line and sinker. With all the excitement , I first checked the price of the airfare.. OMG!!! $1400.00 each, from the Chicago area to Brazil ( Rio de janeiro) My husband and I decided we would take this trip. I'm on the phone with the agent. Had the agent book the 10 day South American cruise - Little did I know the cruise goes out from Rio and docks at the end at Buenos Aires , Argentina.. (WHEN I BOOKED OUR INTERNET HAD WENT OUT AND I COULDN'T ACCESS THE ITINARY) Cruise department booked the cruise. Then I was directed to the flight department. Told them leaving out of RDU/ I possible said returning RDU. I know I asked if they could pull up the reservation. Flight was booked and not right, Didn't realize for a little over a month. an agent realized docking in Argentina, But the flight is Rio going back home... Needless to say, I was told this was my fault and I should cancel the flight reservation and rebook... OMG!!!! That would mean, I would lose all my money.. They didn't care.. I came up with, can I flight from Argentina to Rio then catch the kept the reservation.. That worked out , but around $650.more per person. I used all my point for this trip and still ended up spending $6000... last but not done with this mess!!!! We were told passport that is obvious, not told a visa. Read info and didn't take it to need both passport and visa.. Didn't find this out till we get to the airport to check in. We are told your not going anywhere. We call the GVR, and the insurance company, then after many minutes on the cell phone.. We were told to call California Brazil Consulant and it could be expedited, The lady said I needed to fill out the papers by 2/10/17 and she would try to get us the documents needed. March 5th or so 2017. Our Cruise started today February 12th. Nothing worked in our favor... LOST ALL POINTS AND OVER HALF OF THE MONEY I PAID FOR THIS SCAM.... UNHAPPY TRAVELER/ OH NOT TRAVELED!!!!
