Government Vacation Reawards-MWR

Non-Facilitaions and Rudeness

On Feb. 3, 2015, a Ms. Lindsey Huber of Government Vacation Rewards with tel. no. 1-877-291-1108 ext. 5450 soliciting for membership. It all sounded reputable as she cited to me that they are the MWR-morale, welfare and recreation of the U.S. Military.. Becoming a member and accordingly with all fringe benefits inclusive of my friends and relatives to be able to avail of same, I became a member. However, I recalled how she had convinced me by the way she talked like am a child to be convince. So, the next day, I called her and no answer but a recording to leave a detailed message, which I did. There never was a return call even thou have called a couple more times leaving messages. Then I goggled Government Vacation Rewards complaint board and discovered several concurrent complaints against the company, complaints particularly from wounded warriors and retirees. I called Government Vacation Rewards and its recording only gave two options: press 1 for reservations or press 2 for bookings. But no option for Customer Service. So, I press bookings and the lady told me that before she can transfer me to customer service, I have to book a vacation since I prompted option 2. After some resistance, she finally transferred me to customer service wherein a recording indicated for me to hold and hold I did listening to its recorded music for extended time frame about 20 minutes. I re-dialed and called again and prompted option 1 for reservations. Either from reservations or bookings I may have prompted, from any one of the two, a certain Regina transferred me with no resistance to customer service, the latter you answered the call waiting in a short frame of time. The male person I talked to at customer service hanged-up on me when I asked how to go by in cancelling my subscription and to not charge my Military Star Card $114.00 monthly until a total payment of $2,000.00 dollars. This Company is not reputable and makes a bad name for the Military MWR and its consortium, the Military Star card. I called the latter to cancel the Military Star card and to issue me a replacement with another account card number in it and to retrieve the $99.00 initial fee that Government Vacation Rewards had taken from my Military Star Card.
