I was a FIRST TIME customer of H&R Block and the LAST!! I went to the East Orange, NJ office for the FREE 1040EZ that H&R Block advertised. Anjell Broadie, tax preparer, completed my taxes in 15 minutes and said the cost was a WHOPPING $219.50!! I asked why and she said because I was a senior citizen and I could not use the 1040EZ. I rent and had NO DEDUCTIONS other than the standard deduction. Ms. Broadie NEVER ADVISED me there was a cost for my tax preparation. I did not have any means to pay so my brother had to pay the bill. When I wanted to give Anjell Broadie my direct deposit information, she stated she already filed the FED and STATE returns and it was too late to add banking information. She never asked how I wanted to receive my State refund.

BEWARE SENIOR CITIZENS: It seems H&R Block is prejudice against senior citizens!! Do not fall for their advertising gimicks.
