While having been a loyal viewer of the Hallmark Channel years, I am very disappointed with the actions of one of its stars.
Candace Cameron Bure has every right to her PERSONAL beliefs about "anti-vaxing" but she has crossed the line. By crossing the line to publicly pressing her opinions, she has become an INFLUENCER to those who look up to her. She is a fine actress but this influencing is an abuse of her popularity. And, I am fully confident that she understands what her influencing can do to sway opinions of some.
Personal beliefs are just that - not to be used as a platform when already over 700 people have died and others continue to die daily. Of course there are some who will not choose the Covid vaccines. Frankly, I don't understand that when I have lost people to this horrible disease. However I feel Ms.Cameron Bure is being reckless when vaccines can determine a life/death situation. This appears to be very self-indulgent and narcissistic actions on her part.
If Hallmark desires to keep its family-focused and "squeaky" clean persona, it must step up and set relevant guidelines to issues that, literally, can affect people's lives so gravely and tragically.
I, for one, cannot currently watch Ms. Bure because of her overstepping these boundaries. I will miss watching movies she's in and "Aurora Teagarden" episode.
