Avoid Harris Private Bank. I have a documented trail of email from Harris VP Jack Ablin that a man I believed was "unfit" to manage my account would be removed from that account. They were supposed to actively manage a portfolio worth over $1, 300, 000.Harris not only left him in charge of my portfolio, they also refuse to reimburse me for the $80, 000 that was lost.

This Harris Private Bank is not trustworthy.

I was financed through this company by the dealership I bought my car through. Harris bank doesn't send out a statement or anything telling you how much in total you owe. They send out a "coupon book" with which you can use to make payments with. I have never received this booklet, despite calling and speaking with them several times over the past year. They have sent me past due notices, when I have already paid via internet, so I know they have my address. When you pay online, they charge a 10 dollar convenience fee. So Basically I've paid them an extra 1oo dollars over this past year, because they won't send me the coupon book. I'm refinancing my vehicle through another company as soon as I'm able to.

When you finance your loan with a dealership, or anywhere, your loan papers have your payment amount, due date, and payment address on there. There is absolutely NO reason to be late or not pay. Waiting for information you already have is irresponsible and ridiculous.

As for a convenience charge to pay online, what did you expect? They have to pay for that website and paying online is a convenience.
