On March 30, 2019 I was looking to book an emergency flight from Lihue Kauai to Honolulu due to a family medical emergency. Upon looking for a flight a one way ticket was $198.97 which I had no choice but to purchase. I think a one way trip of $198.97 is ridiculous. Upon my return to Kauai on April 2, 2019 my one way trip cost me only $73.97.

I have been a Hawaiian miles member since 1990 and travel quite frequently to Honolulu. I have paid less than $198.97 for a round trip on previous trips. Can you give me a an explanation why there is such a big difference in prices. Hawaiian Airlines is the only Airlines for us kamaina’s to use to get to the neighbor islands.

I feel that Hawaiian Airlines should take into consideration us kamaina’s knowing that you are the only feasible means of inter island transportation. When logging in with Hawaiian miles member number and booking a flight it should bring up discounted airfares for us members.

I would appreciate a response to my concerns.
