I purchased HCC medical insurance for my father visiting USA in june 2015. He suffered from urine retention and is on catheter till today. He had to go to ER few times to replace the catheter and doctor suggested GLP surgery to remove the prostrate. Got precertification from HCC but during pretesting EKG report came abnormal. Now yesterday September 30th I saw on their website stating all claims are denied due to preexisting condition. The fact is that my father is not treated for hear related disease and this is the first time in his life that he faced urine retention problem, surgery is not yet done and we have decided that we will get it done in INDIA. But HCC has denied all his ER and physician visits which were done for urine retention. They send me a bill in excess of 8000 $. I don't understand under what pretext are they considering urine retention as preexisting condition and they have not even provided any explanation for that. Please stay away from this insurance.
