My wife was admitted to a nearby hospital in February 2018, as she had suffered with a severe stomach pain. 5 hours later after few tests the doctors told us that she's having a stone in one of her kidneys. 2 months later, we received a letter from the hospital stating the bill and claim denial by HCC. I have called the HCC customer service and they assisted me in filling the claim and authorization form. We though it's over. But today, my wife received a call from the hospital again asking for the payment of $22,529.00. Later when I called HCC they say Kidney stones is a pre-existing condition. I need help since we cannot afford to pay $22,529. Even if we can afford, what is the point of buying an insurance. I really need some help from anybody on how to fight this. Any suggestions will be helpful.
