I totally agree with all the negative comments expressed here. I too used them for a divorce case. At the onset I was told it would be a fast, easy case. Five years later, emotionally, physically and mentally drained I was in awe that I had paid $20,000 to a law firm that was so incompetent, I could done a better job myself with no legal knowledge what so ever. I did half of the leg work that the law firm should have done because I could not get them to return phone calls. Months would go by with no updates unless I called them to find out where the case stood. I could have sworn that my ex-husbands lawyer and mine had some kind of agreement to let his lawyer win and get him the most out of the settlement. When we were in meetings my lawyer would totally let his lawyer run the entire meeting with no rebuttals what so ever. I was told to keep records so I could be reimbursed for expenses then when it came time to be reimbursed I was told that wasn't possible. When my ex-husband did things that were against the terms outlined until the divorce was finalized my lawyer made no attempt to make him abide by the rules of the agreement.The stress I was put through by this company caused me to be hospitalized and unable to return to work for months. There is no way on earth I would recommend this law firm to anyone!

Run, don't walk from this group of lawyers! We were referred to them through Legal Shield, an employer benefit but it turned out to be the worst "servi we'veve gotten from a legal firm. To call what they did for us a "service" would be a misnomer at best and a complete joke at worst. My wife and I fournd ourselves mediating most of the conversations between the lawyers involved in the transaction because the other lawyers were not receiving documents in a timely manner and so kept contacting us. It was terribly frustrating and we received nothing but more frustration when we sought answers from Hogan and Willig. I'm not sure they even read our contract.

They never went over the contract with us; did not file paperwork on time even after telling us that they had - THEY HAD NOT. At critical junctures during a very convoluted process they gave us wrong information and even had us bring an additional bank check to closing (cost = $10.00) which was not needed.

Save yourself some unnecessary grief and stay far away from this group of lawyers.

I hired Hogan Willig to handle the wrongful death of my father. After 5 years of very unprofessional communication and mistake on their part with the courts. I ended up having to pay in total a little over $50,000 to them out of a $100,000 personal injury case decision. I may not know law, but I do have common sense and everything about the representation from this firm seemed unjust. I was not looking to sue the place my father got injured, I was looking to sue the place that allowed him to fall and die. I was told that the malpractice case was not going trial and that the initial $300,000 case was settled for $20,000 because no doctor could be found to testify on my father';s behalf. I was initially charged $10,000 for the search for any living heirs, the court was not satisfied with these findings and appointed another attorney and I was charged an additional $5,600 for this attorney to search for any living heirs. I am just so livid at this point. I would have never hired this firm if I would have known I would be left with $5,400 as retribution for the death of my father. Never, never, never, recommend this firm to anyone.
