I was called a thief by an employee when I requested a refund for items I returned. I was only offered a store credit and I asked to speak to the manager not only for an explanation for this policy but for being called a thief as well. The manager could not explain why. If I was requesting lots of cash back I get it but it was around 20 dollars. Now I was curious on principal alone....the manager did absolutely nothing to explain it to me and did nothing to the employee who called me a thief. I have a career in law enforcement and close to retiring. I serve on several boards for non profits in my hometown. I have never been more insulted and treated more unfairly as I have in Home Depot. I will not step foot there again and will encourage others as well. It’s no wonder Lowe’s is on top!
