I lost my Mercedes Key. 3 service centers gave me an estimate - Atlanta, Alpharetta and Duluth $475 plus programming, tax, and labor. They told me it should take 4-5 days to get the key. I towed my car to Duluth Service center on Feb 22, 2020. They told me I have to take the registration and drivers license as proof of ownership to order a key. My son requested off from work and went to the Duluth location with the registration and proof of ownership. He waited for 4 hours, and then they let him know the registration has been expired, so they cannot order the key with it. We went to DMV to get the correct one. Duluth service center told us to leave all the paper with them and they will let us know when they will order the keys. They never called us back. My son called them on March 5th and they asked him to bring his car to them. The car is in their parking lot for 11 days and they have no idea. Finally, they process the paper work to order the key. We picked up our car on Mar 10th, and they charged us $1032.48. The reason I shop around to save some money. We work hard for every single penny. I could take my car to the Atlanta or Alpharetta location and save some money. Either the person who picked up the phone had no idea about the charges or they just want to charge whatever they want to. Hassling people, careless service, no idea about unknown car sitting down at their lot, sudden large amounts charge without notify customer is Mercedes DULUTH SERVICE CENTER.
