I am currently dealing with a very similar issue with this "law" office, they seem like quite scam artists and don't utilize and follow the law accordingly. I received a court claim on an old credit card debt that was owed and decided to contact the law office to set up a repayment plan. We agreed on $50.00 per month even though that was more than I can really afford being out of work and only receiving child support as a form of income. I made my first payment the date of the agreement and was told to make it monthly on or before the same day each month. The following month I received court documents stating a judgement had been entered with a hearing date to set up a payment plan. I called Howard Lee Schiff to find out why they did not notify the court that we were under an agreement. The rep said they would mail a stipulation for me to sign and return and then they would file with the courts. I made my monthly payment that month as well. Almost a month later I still had not received the stipulation form so I called again and this rep I spoke with this time said that since a judgement was entered and I confessed to the debt that the monthly agreement was no longer valid!!!! How does that make any sense!? Wasn't I confessing when I set up the first payment installment. I told them I have dealt with a lawyers office in the past with a similar situation and they filed with the courts that we had reached an agreement and I paid monthly and never had to go to court. To me they are being sneaky and deceitful since they agreed to my monthly amount which was on a recorded line and now they won't accept it. I have never heard of such a thing. Typically paperwork can be filed with the courts afterwards and it's generally what they prefer when things can be worked out and agreed upon outside of court. At this point it's wasting my time and the courts time. What can be done about this??

I am all in for a class action suit! I was harassed for years over a credit card bill that was already paid! He kept pulling funds off of my accounts with no prior court notices. I closed accounts for years because of him. I had to utilize pay cards for employment. Now after all of these years I'm talking about an account that is 15years old, and already paid off he screws me with a wage garnishment! I need to file something with the judicial council! This guy needs to be behind bars!
