hughesnet service

All I can say that I agree with all of the complaints that are posted about their internet service provided by Hughes. Slow erratic service and inept tech personnel. I've spent hours on the phone trying to resolve issues to no avail. Downloading Netflx and Amazon Prime movies are impossible. Even songs from Pandora are buffered. I pay for the fastest service. It's a definite fraud.

Wrong id on bill

I want to know if retha Hoffa name has been taken off my acct l. Its almost like I'd theft just that Hughes net did it. I would l8ke an answer this has gone on.lo g enough. I already wrote the 1st complaint.uncan look up acctcvia my phone 9182087494 sitecaxd 307 s. 6th kept a ok 74941.

slow terrible company

im a game and was promised by the people on the phone that it was great or gaming and streaming i cant even watch a vid in 720p and a 5GB game took 3 days to download on top of all that by the time that i had downloaded that game despite doing nothing else on the internet i had used up a full 60GB of data on a 5GB game

Horrible service

I took out Hughes Net in September 2012 I hated it since day 1 only to find out I was locked in a two year contract that I would have to pay a high fee to get out of. I find this is criminal to lock people in a contract for a inferior product ,I paid for it for a year and a half then cancelled they lied to me telling me my final cost would be 160.00 dollars for my final bill. Instead it turned out to be 160.00 plus 70.00 for a months bill for a final bill . DO NOT USE HUGHESNET -- I hope and pray Hughes Net goes out of buseness

Slow does not describe it. It is dial up at 3x the price. Forget even short videos. Slow and inconsistent to the point that it is non-functional. Slow until I get nothing, usually a web acceleration error. And then their customer service tells me its my fault and I'll have to pay $120+ to fix THEIR equipment. AND THEN it turns out - it takes the service guy about 10 minutes to "fix" whatever was wrong, to get me back to ssssuper slow.

Absolutely the worst service experience of my life

I didn't think it was possible for a company to fail at every stage of the customer service lifecycle until I encountered Hughesnet . Here's my story:

1. Purchased "Elite" service to replace my existing ISP...then found that the Hughesnet service was 1/3 third as fast as my existing service...at over twice the price.

2. When installing my satellite antenna, the installer created a leak in my roof which caused over $600 to fix and Hughesnet claimed no responsibility.

3. Spent over three hours on the phone with the most inept technical support group I've ever seen, who were unable to solve the poor performance problem.

4. After 6 months of pathetic service, I finally called to cancel, in which case Hughesnet hit me with a $300 early ccancellation fee. I told them I had never received the service I signed up and paid for -- they didn't care...company policy.

5. Finally, after I refused to pay the cancellation fee, they sent me to collection.

SUMMARY: Over $1400 paid for 6 months of Internet service I could barely use.

This is absolutely the worst service experience of my life.

Absolutely the worst service experience of my life

I could have written the above. No service can't use Internet keeps dropping. On Line for 3 hrs. dropped me 45 times. In the middle of ordering airline tickets. Had to restart 15 times.The tech people are rude and not helpful. Pay $77.32 a month for no service. spend hours on the phone trying to get results. Told it's my computer. Got a new one, $690.00 still having same trouble. Works perfectly in hotels or other places. Worst service on earth. Won't give me an address to write mt complaints. It's like a communist company. If they are so great why do they hide?
