Pathetic service and website
Where should I start to describe a pathetic service like money2India from ICICI bank. Plainly put, the website is bug "ridden". Please note the BUG is plural here.
I have never seen any website dealing with money, programmed and maintained so irresponsibly. Plain pathetic. When I start to do any transaction with this website, I loose my nerve to an extent, that is sometimes just uncontrollable ....
1. The most common bug I face is the constant logoff when one tries to do anything . I login, try to click on any of the tabs and there it pops up the login screen again. This is no security feature. The website simply looses the login information.
2. For a while, I could not look at all the transactions. When I tried to access any of the previous transactions, it either logged out again or ended up with SQL error.
3. The real fun starts when you have a problem and have to deal with the customer service. Recently, they simply write me back that my registered email address is not "registered", even though I keep getting all their official communication to this email address. I even wrote them previously, and got back replies. Never it was a problem. But suddenly it is "not" registered.
4. A money transfer I initiated recently failed because of a mistake in the bank details. They suggested that I can give alternative details using the customer care tab in the login page. I tried that. While doing that, I could not believe how buggy the interface was: The web form where you enter the alternate bank details, does not accept any character. For example, entering email address is mandatory but it does not let you enter the email address. Similarly other fields. Even the drop down boxes work sometimes and sometimes not. And while entering the form, I got logged out millions of times. This was the tipping point for me. I am just fed up.
Please note that the list of bugs I observed with this idiotic service is just too long and too many to describe here.
It is a SHAME that it comes from one of the largest banks in India and from the land of IT. So people, do you also happen to observe these issues ? or am I the only lucky one here ?
