Illicit encounter
illicit encounter charge men and extortionate amount of money to become " members" while allowing women to become members for free, this makes me feel I'm being discriminated against on the grounds a of my gender. It's a fact that people don't value what they don't pay for and the women who have joined IE in my opinion have done so purely to see how many men will send them messages and have little or no intention of replying to you. The odd one or two who did reply sent a couple of messages then I got the old chestnut" I don't think your the one for me". If you take my advice stay clear of IE ....go to town and have a drink in a pub do it the old fashioned way.....it's much better

Fake profiles
I used IE many years ago and all was fairly good.
Recently I relapsed, I am separated now, and thought I would have another go, no pun intended, and realised very quickly that my access was being monitored by IE staff.
I found that rather concerning and uncomfortable to say the least then the usual fake contact etc which is long winded to explain but like so many others I noticed patterns quite quickly...
IE is shooting itself in the foot for profit but the upside is that the message is out and hopefully you will all stay at home and buy your respective partners,male/female flowers instead of credits on IE.
Avoid IE like the rash it may give you!
Can't trading standards do their job and go give these people a good seeing to!?

IE gone downhill bigtime
First joined IE several years ago, has always been tough going but had success over the years.
Recently I have to say the number of fake profiles seems to have risen.
Whilst I have no concrete proof, I now firmly believe stooges have been employed to lead men along then blow them off just before a date.
The site is there purely to make money, whilst there may be the odd genuine woman on there you'll be extremely lucky to bump in to one.
I dont know what the alternative is, but in my opinion IE really has gone down hill and is now best avoided.

Fake profiles
Yep, plenty of fakes obviously set up to scam people into getting full membership. The following is an extract from 3 messages, from 3 separate women:
"Monday always seems to drag and the weekend just flies by, what are your plans for this evening?"
"I feel like the weeks drag and the weekends fly by, what are you doing this evening?"
"I hate Mondays, the week will now drag after the weekend just flew by.."
But I have met genuine women from the site, so it's not all bad. Terribly over-priced and avoid conversation with any woman who continues mundane conversations and avoids any direct requests to meet ;)

Illicit Encounters Scam
I have incontrovertible proof that Illicit Encounters is a complete scam. I opened three male profiles at different times but didn't upgrade on any of them. I deliberately made each different and apparently looking for completely contrasting types of women. Within days of joining I started to notice a pattern of enticing but identical messages being sent to each profile - all from the same female member and sent at the same time. It quickly became apparent that these were fake messages from non-existent women, created by the company to lure suckers into to paying their ridiculous exorbitant charges (supposedly designed to keep out riff raff and provide a 'premium' service). I then subscribed from one of my accounts and lo and behold the messages from women dried up (but continued to bombard those profiles I'd not paid for). This is transparent evidence of IE's shyster practices. They have zero interest in providing a service and maximum interest in conning suckers to pay their inflated prices. I've since joined UndercoverLovers.com, who not only supply and identical service at a fraction of the price, but actually offer a panorama of real, currently active women seeking affairs. A quick check at Companies House on Online Tech support, the company behind IE reveals a plunge in their profits in the last Tax year, suggesting that people are waking up to the scam. Expect ever more desperate methods form the company to con suckers in!

Online scam
A lot of the negative comments here strike a chord. I subscribed (male, £150) and found it a very negative experience. The vast majority of members are no longer active. The majority of messages you send ellicit no response at all. The most honest and courteous on the site are the ones who say thanks but no thanks. Of those that respond they chat for a while and then simply go quiet. They don't respond even when you know they are on line. I agree with wavy Davy. Most of the women on this site are here to get the ego boost of male attention but are not serious about meeting, and are just playing games. Some of the "ladies" are not what they claim to be, and there are some real misfits. I did arrange one meeting but had difficulty finding the location. When I phoned the lady she began to nag me! Utter waste of money. Still looking for a genuine site, but not sure such a thing exists.
