I've been going to H & R Block for at least the last 7 or 8 yrs since I've worked for the government. My 2015 tax assessment from CRA was not calculated the same as H & R Block, because of a tax exemption issue. I assumed it was resolved after speaking with someone from Chilliwack head office last year, she assured me it was okay. When I went to file my 2016 taxes they withheld ta little over 1500$, what they said they did not receive from CRA for my 2015 taxes. I called CRA to resolve the issue and they completed a reassessment, since I signed my tax refund over to H&R Block, they received the refund and sent me a letter from CRA stating the refund correction and amount they received. I've been trying to contact head office in Calgary without any response, I contacted someone from head office in Vancouver; who told me that I received my full refund for 2016 and they did not withhold anything!!!! Omg, this is theft! What a crock H & R Block is, never use H & R Block!!!
