illegal charges and banned accounts

I have been a loyal customer to jagex for almost 11 years now, and I have to say I am appalled at their customer service aspect, as well as their blatantly illegal practices. The primary reason for my disdain? illegal charges, and denial of service or any ability to voice my concerns. My main account, which I created back when old school runescape was just runescape, has been banned due to "suspected hijacking" for the last two years. the cause of this ban? I moved to basic military training, changing my zip-code resulting in the ban. no worries right? I just have to make an appeal? Nope, im not allowed to appeal the ban. well that sucks, but I could live with that. Except that every month for the last 2 years Jagex has charged me $24.99 for membership on said account. oh and I can't log in to the account to cancel said membership, because I would have to appeal the account first. well damn, I thought, guess I should just consider it a donation. except here's the problem - every time I change location it does this. now I have 3 accounts that are either banned or locked that are charging me money without any service provided. oh and when I go directly to customer support for help since the account recovery tools won't work, they tell me I don't have enough information provided to verify that I own the accounts. forget the fact that I provide them with all of the billing information and security questions for the last 2 years.

all in all, Jagex is a despicable company, which I intend to hire lawyers for to resolve this issue if it continues any longer. I will not be wasting any more time using any of the products that Jagex puts out, due to the illegal actions they have taken against me, and I would advise anyone having similar issues to do the same.

my account dissapearing?

well i have had my main account for quite some years now, if i had to guess i would say since atleast 4 years ago, and now it just dissapeared. like it never ever existed, and it still says the account is their. like for example i cant login to the game or the forums, but when i go to change my passwords it lets me? its like the account is existant, but at the same time non existant. im not sure what to do, because their is no way to contact runescape about this issue, and i cant find anyone who has had this problem before. I havent broke any serious rules, ever, and i never would because i play the game just for a casual, fun, time, and now i cant even do that. it just makes me mad that i would have no place to go to get help with recovering my account, and i really dont know any ways to recover it. so here i am saying this, and im not sure what to do to recover it :$ any help at all would be nice

dear sir or madam, i am back playing runescape and i am just getting use to the new format but i got a friend of mine on and i cant add him is it because he just started. how can i help him being a veteran player if it keeps saying he is an unknown player it does the same for him with me.i was getting very frustrated. his name on it is kyimerwill and mine is tilea dupre. u can contact me at:[email protected]. please i had no other way of contacting runescape ppl please advise me on this matter.

I am supprised to see a jegex employee actualy looks here. I mentioned on other jagex/runescape posts about needing help from you guys before on my account but your site is hard to navigate and not user friendly.

about what Mod mentioned some stam/origen pages have embeded viruses. you look at a game for what it is and bingo virused. then they see what you use for email and there you go. even with my anti virus firewalls i still get new viruses that it doesnt know exist yet.

Hey

Sorry to hear you have been having problems with Spam emails. If you have received emails which appear to be from Jagex they are likely phishing emails designed to steal RuneScape account details and are not from us. Phishers usually bulk-send emails to a list of randomly generated or purchased email addresses in the hopes that they will “get lucky” and find someone to whom their email appears relevant.

To avoid seeing them in future I would recommend that mark these emails as “Spam” or “Junk” in your email spam filter. Alternatively, you can forward one of them to your email provider as a “Phishing Scam” and they should be blocked.

i have NOTHING from Jagex never even went on their website. i only play games on Steam and Origin and those are both on gmail. i have NEVER used the emailaddress that i get their spam on for webbased stuff. i only contact relatives and clients with it. how does that hacker/scammer even get a hold of my email? my security checks out there are no leaks.

I keep getting daily spam from Jagex. 4 to 5 mails per day. i just went to look up their webpage to see if i could contact them but they choose to reply with automatic emails only. i have never visited their website before today, i have never played their game, nor do i use the recieving inbox for anything but work. i have seperate email-accounts for newsletters and forums.

I get emails from them too but unlike you i get them cause it was my game email. i broke off ties with them after they shafd me from my account by not returning it to me just cause the passwords i had on my file were wrong.
now in answer to the emails sent to your work email. it is a scam/hacker email trying to steal your account. i know cause my world of warcraft email is aol not hotmail and they sen it to my hotmail.
