HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF

My Daughters wonderful Boyfriend purchased a Beautiful Watch for her Birthday. It was to big for her wrist and the watched needed sizing, it needed some links taken out of it. My Daughter and her Boyfriend went to Jared Galleria of Jewelry, ..11681 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, Hamilton one evening, around 8 pm, and sales associate Ashley, who was quite rude to my Daughter and her Boyfriend, sighed and said, were closing soon, lets get this done. Mind you, this was a brand new watch, NEVER worn and that was the first time it was taken out of the packaging. Ashley sure did take care of it, she destroyed my Daughters watch, put scratches with her Jewelry tools ALL over my Daughters brand new watch!! My Daughter did not notice all the damage until she left at 9 pm when the store was closed and they had gone out to her car to go home. I called the next morning and spoke to the day Asst. Manager, Andrew who said to have my Daughter come in and ask for him or Asst Manager Brandon. My Daughter and Her Boyfriend went in that evening and Brandon (ASST MANAGER) and sales associate Ashley were so rude to my Daughter and her boyfriend, talking down to them, told my daughter to bad, your problem, not ours, laughed at them, RIGHT in their face. Then when my Daughter asked how they were going to fix the damage they did to her watch, Brandon and Ashley started yelling at them and everyone in the store was staring at my Daughter and her boyfriend. My Daughter and her Boyfriend are a interracial couple, my Daughter being White and Her Boyfriend with Color. They totally Discriminated against them!!! Brandon practically pushed them out of the store! I called to speak to Brandon about his Horrible, predijucice behavior, to have Sales Associate Ashley tell me off on the phone first, saying they were not rude.. I asked why is it did you talk down to my Daughter and her Boyfriend, was it because they were young? She blurted out, We don't discriminate here!! I had not brought up the fact that we knew it was because of Color of my Daughters skin and her boyfriends skin... Brandon, the asst manager got on the phone, kept interrupting me, would not listen to me and said he could care less if "YOU PEOPLE" come back to his store and buy anything! He gave me his Managers name, said call and talk to him, he won't care either and wouldn't want you buying anything here either. He spoke real slow to me, like I was an idiot, when I asked him to stop talking down to me, he said, if you don't stop, I will hang up this phone on you! I told Brandon I would like a formal apology to my Daughter and Her Boyfriend and would like my Daughter to get some compensation for Jared destroying her $300 Watch. Brandon said, Okay, I am hanging up the phone on you and slammed the phone down in my Ear!!! Today, I am contacting the Better Business Bureau and also calling my Attorney, seeing as this has a lot to do with Discrimination, which is not suppose to be tolerated! BEWARD, DON'T SHOP AT JERED! Especially the location at: 11681 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, Hamilton

Custom ring setting

I've been to Jared's in Cincinnati a couple of times, and the sales staff has been friendly. However, when I wanted something that I purchased there repaired, the manager (owner?) became abrupt and abrasive. I love diamonds. I won't buy from them again. - Dr. C

Jareds Galleria-HORRIBLE!

My fiance purchased an engagement ring for me last year & he was told it would have to be custom ordered because it had to be sized down to such a small size. After numerous calls throughout the past few months we got the run around about when it would be in. Despite being given specific date after specific date about when it would be ready, we have STILL yet to get it. When we called recently, the employee stated there was no record on their file about it, which we found ridiculous because we have a receipt and other proof which we let her know. She said that someone would call us tomorrow. The same message we had gotten the last time, which by the way NO ONE ever called us back about. When I asked for her name she stated that she did not have to provide that. After threatening to report her and the store, she finally gave her name. I called their corporate office to let them know of the situation as well as their behavior. He told me there was no way he could look up any of our information and that if we gave him our phone number, he would call us back the next day, but who knows if they'll even do anything?!. I never knew such a well known business could conduct themselves in this manner. Next step: Calling the BBB and calling the credit card company!! Buyers Beware!!!

Custom ring setting

I got a beautiful promise ring from my then-boyfriend, and I absolutely love it. So when the time came to custom design an engagement ring, Jared's was the first name that popped into our heads, for sentimental reasons and practical. It turns out that the 'craftsmanship' that we loved about Jared's is only for ready-made pieces. We ordered a white gold band and bought four little diamonds, .1. We had the store replace the head of the ring to fit my 1 carat sapphire and put the diamonds in. When I went to pick it up, all the diamonds were crooked. Even after looking at them under the microscope, the sales woman had the nerve to tell me they were fine. I finally called for another sales person who took one look with her naked eye and said, "wow, those are crooked!" So they agreed to fix their defective craftsmanship, and I was to pick it up the next day. I went in to pick it up, and not only was one of the diamonds still extremely crooked, but there was a visible gouge in the gold AND there is no "14K" stamp on the band. I didn't notice if it was there before, but I am assuming not. They had the nerve to tell me that it was a custom job, and no custom ring will ever be perfect. We are still in the process of trying to sort it out, almost two weeks since ordering it. They take no returns on custom work so we may have to take the loss, even though their work is what is at issue. I will never buy another piece of jewelry from there as long as I live! Buyer Beware! I had another jeweler look at it and it is going to cost several hundred dollars to fix it, and they noticed scratches on the prongs as well.

Custom ring setting

Seems like the stores are staffed with incompetent help. Recently went in for a watch band replacement on a Tag Heuer which I purchased at Jaded. This simple task was bungled in every way possible. No one followed up as promised. Deadlines were missed and phone calls unreturned. Long story made short; I had to wait over a month for the band (sent to Towson, MD from New Jersey) and continuously hound the store for answers. There is no sense of accountability. However, each trip I made to the store to have the band replaced seemed to be an ideal opportunity for some sales clown to try to sell me something else.
