Manager Tina

JC Penny's was having a mystery sale where you get a coupon in the store. I went on Friday, Sept. 7th, around 5:00PM, to the Coral Square location. I found 2 items I wanted to purchase. I waited my turn at the cashier, which took a bit. When I got up to the cashier I asked for a coupon. She said they didn't have any so she got on her radio and called the manager on duty, Tina. There was not reply. The men's department was also calling for coupons and stating that customers are waiting. My cashier used the radio again and after still getting no reply, she used the store intercom to call her. Still no reply! Men's continued calling as well as my cashier. After 15 minutes of waiting, Tina decided to show up. I said she didn't even reply to anyone calling her. She said she was in a meeting. If that was truly the case someone would have been covering for her on the radio. There was no apology for making me wait 15 minutes without a reply. She just looked at me as she handed me the coupon and said "You're welcome." Really? After I asked the cashier her name she returned and told the cashier if this happens again, where Tina ignores being called for 15 minutes, the cashier should give the customer the discount. The cashier had to tell her she couldn't do that without calling her to override it. I think Tina needs some retraining in customer service and the register. Very disappointed that JC Penny's had someone like her representing them.
