I went to get an oil change @ the Jiffy Lube on Merrick Road in Seaford N.Y. (Long Island)
and as I am watching them through the glass window into their shop,I see the guy using a battery jump box to start my 2009 GMC Sierra SLT with 50K miles on it....I ask the guy what happened he said "OH we must have left your headlights on"
I informed them that my headlights are automatic and they go off and on as the vehicle is started (daytime running lights)
He said "Oh maybe it was the interior light left on ,and I informed them that it turns off automatically if left on ......
Then they admitted they left my headlights on during their vehicle check...
I paid my bill and drove home...And as I was driving I smelled oil burning and I pulled over and opened my hood and there was oil all over my engine compartment and there was oil leaking from the filler neck and cap was loose....
I have only used Jiffy Lube 2 times because of the cold weather...I am a Mechanic by trade and figured I would stop and get a quick oil change on a Friday after getting out of work....
But now here I am in 20 degree weather cleaning the oil all over my vehicle,the oil was dripping down onto my exhaust manifold and onto my all over my engine compartment and underside of hood...
It was definetly not worth the 40$ oil change!
I would never Ever use them again....
Ive heard all the stories over the yrs but NO I didn't believe them.....
