I was contacted by someone pretending to be John Legend. He claimed he had a charity to help people in financial peril. He sent me an email to a second party who was the manager of the charity. His name was Harland Dale Ronk. He said he had authorization to send me a check for $15,000. Even sent me an image of the check. The catch was I have to send him $290 for taxs (he misspelled it) and shipping through FedEx. I knew it was a scam. I know taxes and charities do not work like that. The check was issued through Bank of America routing number 114000019 Account number 006141003755 signed by Selma Ward and dated for July 2020. Beware of scams like this.
