My name is Odette Selepe(8610010375085) my membership number is 20118030. I have a complaint against a legal counselor by the name Ms Susan Daele. I approached Ms Susan Daele last year 07 August 2021 with regards to a legal matter. My husband whom I have added to my policy was owed an amount of R40 000 by a man named Mike.

I had my first meeting with Ms Daele and she requested that I send through documents (ID copy and marriage certificate)of my husband because she needed to open for him a separate file. I did send her those documents as soon as I left her office and requested that she update me on the progress. Ms Daele later confirmed receipt of documents

On 25 November 2021, I had a Zoom meeting with Ms Daele where she told me that, she will give Mike 7 days to respond and will give me feedback after 7 days. In which she never did. I even ended up going to the Kempton Park office requesting that she calls me back as it has been far too long that she remained silent. The receptionist lady told me that she will notify her to call me. Later that same day she called me but I, unfortunately, missed the call. I was at least expecting an email from her but that never came as well.

I took the liberty to email Ms Daele to give me feedback on the matter, she told me that she will do a follow-up and get back to me but she thinks the lapsing on my policy will be a problem. I emailed her immediately and told her that the day before I made an advanced cash payment at the office, the receptionist explicitly confirmed that my policy will still continue and nothing will have changed as long as I made the payment. Hence I made an advance payment due to financial circumstances and when I saw Ms Daele the same day she handled my case as a continuation and confirmed that my legal case will continue. So I didn't think much about it and I trusted what they said was true since they are the ones with more experience.

On the 28th December 2021, I emailed Ms Daele but she went on leave and would only return on the 14th January 2022. Since has returned she never responded to the email I left for her on the 28th December 2021. I emailed her again on the 18 of January 2022, still response from her.

I sincerely feel misled and lied to throughout the whole situation with Ms Daele. She procrastinates on her cases and never communicates with her clients. I feel Legalwise too many cases they are unable to handle because if I saw Ms Daele in August 2021, I am sure my matter could have been to court already. But arrogant behavior of not showing remorse or even having the decency to email me back says a lot about her values.

The negligence Ms Daele has shown towards my legal cases is appauling. I believe Legal counselors are there to render a service to society to the best of their ability.

I am truly so disappointed by the service I got from Ms Daele and throughout my experience with her, I have observed that f she has shown more than once that she just doesn't care about my legal case and that she knows with out doubt there are absolutely no repercussions to her actions and she knows for a fact that she has and always will get away with not doing her job, it has literally become a norm to her.

I truly hope a thorough investigation could be made and my matter could be resolved.
