No refund

No refund

I ordered two dresses, some shoes and jewellery from light in the box. Nothing stated it would be custom made as all standard sizes. Within 48 hours I realised the company were based in china and I would be subject of huge import costs. I also read a lot of bad reviews about their products. I applied to cancel my order as it states that cancellations within 72 hours would be subject to a full refund. I get a response telling me that items are custom made and therefore I would only be entitled to a refund of the shipping cost so out of the £250 I paid a refund if £29!!! They attached their terms and conditions which clearly state that even if an order is custom made cancellations within 72 hours are entitled to a 50% refund. I am not even happy at just getting 50% of my money back but for them to tell me I am entitled to nothing back is ridiculous. They are clearly breaching their terms and conditions. This company should not be allowed to trade. I feel stupid for ordering for them and let down by what is supposed to be a large reputable company.

No refund

I also bought a dress from light in the box which stated that it would be shipped within 14 days and would take 3= 5 days to get shipped to me. I wrote to them as they informed me it would take 4 - weeks to be shipped, after I had placed my order. I copied there agreement and posted it back to them. and informed them they were breaking our agreement and if it was not shipped in sufficient time they I would like a full refund. Funny enough they shipped it in 3 days of our conversation. It did arrive and like previous postings it did not fit it was too big in places so I altered it. The material and the sewing skills shown were OK. So now that it fits I can get married in it next week. Also I was hammered for import tax at 15% + Vat. Be warned about this. They had put an agreement on my order to say this but only after I complained. My advise is be very careful when ordering from them, give at least two months for it to arrive, or shop at home and avoid disappointment.
