Loan charge off still charging me

I took out a loan with loan Mart they charged out $2690;in Nov 2018 which was 7 months after I got the loan. My car got repoed in July 2019. When I asked why they charged off the loan and still are asking me to pay $7400 they said they would amend charge off if the amount. Which I do see them doing. They want to collect twice.
