delay if title delivery on paid in full loan

After extensive discussions with numerous Lobel employees about paying off my car loan with them (all employees were reluctant to give their first name until requested repeatedly and no phone extension) I was told to make the final payment on line and it would take 15 to 21 days to process my title - I said that was unacceptable and would pay for an expedited rush title as per CVC Section § 9270. However, the payoff was $1,511.27 (the amount given by several employees was different) and their limit is $1,500, I said that I have been paying on time for the past 3 years at 22.5% interest and for $11.27 they should make an exception - finally a supervisor, Jeffery NLN, consented to accept the final payment of $1,511.27 which he confirmed was correct. I made the on line payment with my debit card and funds were sent to Lobel immediately at 9:43 AM Thursday, June 22nd, 2017. I was told to call back after 3 PM PST on Friday, 6/27 - I called and was told Lobel management had to approve the payoff but the $1,511.27 had not been processed into their system - when I asked why it took so long, one employee said “customers call back those funds all time" and Lobel would hold funds until they were processed through Lobel's system and approved by Lobel management. On Friday, 6/23/17 I was told to call back Monday 626/17 to check my account paid off status - I was told nothing had cleared by management and to call back after 3 PM PST because that was when account funds were posted. My call at 4 PM instead of 3 PM resulted in the same comment, "management has not approved closing the account" and to call back Tuesday 6/27/17 for an update. I was told again it takes 15 to 21 days for my title to be delivered and I told the Lobel representative I wanted expedited title processing and would pay the $15 fee - "company policy line by representatives stated that Lobel has 15 to 21 days AFTER management closing the account". I am in Tennessee and the local dealer has made several calls requesting expedited/rush title processing and gets the same answer of 15 to 21 days from Lobel. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Lobel is earning interest on my funds, albeit not a large sum, for 5+ days and is depriving me of selling my car for an extended period of time.

Car report and got sued by lobel

I signed for a car loan for my daughter in 2014. She needed a car I figured no big deal if figured. Payment were way to high for t his car 315 due the 5th of the month. No problem. But they immediately started taking on an insurance charge. I had my insurance company fax, email, and literally talk to them but they kept charging 80 every month on top of the payment. I was very upset. My daughter couldn't make the payment on time in November and I was unfortunately in the hospital unable to help. I called them when I got out. Told them I would be back at work next week and able to pay the following week. Shelia said that was fine. I asked her how much, so threw out this crazy number of almost 2000. I said no way. She told me it was that we had been making only the car payment and not the insurance. I said no way. Since we are covered by triple a. She said she would look into it. I called back two days later she said that she got them to waive the fee but I owed a month and a half in payment. I told her I would be making the payment Wednesday which was two days away. She said that she would note my account. The next morning the car was gone. I called and they had not noted my account and it had been repo'd and was in Los Angeles according to them. I thought it would be local. But now to get the car back they wanted the full price of the car plus the cost of towing the vehicle and storage until I could go pick it up. We are talking almost 10,000. I said no i cant do that. They said well then it will go to auction and I would have to pay whatever was owed after they sell it.
Well needless to say the lowballled the selling price still leaving about 6000. The apparently went to court to demand payment and got a judgment against me. They now included court fees in their pay back judgment.
I can't afford this.
Why is this company allowed to keep doing this? They pry on people with bad credit who struggle to get a loan through standard more reputable companies. Then they screw them over. Why on earth has nobody filed a suit against them to make them stop and remove them from business.? Oh yeah cuz none of us can afford it, otherwise we would never have chosen to use such a horrible company.

Illegal repossession due to bankruptcy

I made payment arrangements like I had normally and gave a post dated check to be posted on the day of arrangement which was a Friday. On Tuesday morning I see a tow truck & as soon as my girlfriend leaves it takes my vehicle all the while I'm screaming at the tow truck driver that I filed for bankruptcy 2-3 weeks prior just to secure my house & car and not trusting this coma my that had so many complaints and deceptive practices. I called them upset and confused only to get the runaround for 3 days which by law should not have been taken m the first place. The court sent the documents to their address in California and like everything else it was never received!? I had to argue and hear every excuse they tried to justify for 3 days that they had a protocol which I informed them that by law they were in error and I demanded my property back regardless of some made up BS Protocol. It was just a ploy to find some loophole or to add insult to injury. I also lost 3 days of pay from work thinking I was going to get my car one of those days. I still owe them and will not continue with bankruptcy because I was approved for a loan mod on my house now I'm gonna have to deal with them to make back payments if allowed. I need some guidance as to how to approach this or what options I have.

repossession of a vehicle

my vehicle as repossessed on 01/15/2003 although arrangements were made . for over 10 years never heard a word from them. we got a judgment for lobel financial from the riverside superior court stating we lost the case. never informed of court date and when we questioned them about the statute of limitations, they promptly went back to court and got an extension of 10 years and almost doubled the award from $6,681.53 to $ 13,233.65. the BBB has attempted to contact them on two (2) occasions and they have failed to respond. I sent them a letter offering to pay a certain amount when my current home sells and they have yet to answer. I have also notified the FTC and the California State Attorney General's
Office with no results. According to the BBB they have a C rating and not an accredited business. Beware of them!

illegal reposession of my car

I was given Lobel Financial through a dealership I had used before and previously had small problems with but trusted them with their loan department. I was in a car accident December 15th where another vehicle crashed into me and ruined my car. Lobel Financial went to my car at the tow yard, after the claim had started from the accident and stole my vehicle. They used documents illegal and falsified, lied to police stating they had a right to take my vehicle knowing the could not, they credited my account 12-6 and stole it 12-22. Mysteriously they gave it back to my insurance after I threatened police. THEY ARE CROOKED ROTTEN people and have class action law suites already but continue to act this way so now I am starting another suit. I paid them their money they had my account all updated, receipt in hand with me and yet they can go steal my car, re damage it by towing it when my insurance and myself are getting damage appraised, any additional damage they will pay for as well as stealing my property and filing false papers with the intent to mislead the police to obtain my vehicle. Again, I JUST started with them 11-2010, had 1 payment, paid it, but they took it from a tow yard? They are criminals and I already have the ball rolling on this one, they messed with the wrong person. I never miss a payment. Last loan co I had, I had for almost 2 years and was the reason my credit was so much better and then these losers take what I paid for, including $1, 400 cash down on it, $331 car payment, and TAKE it from a tow yard after an accident which I was not at fault. The car will be repaired and I will have the last word on this one. Anyone you know of that has had legal issues with Lobel Financial in Arizona or California, let me know.

illegal reposession of my car

It's true. I am in the same situation right now. I also bought my car from USA Auto. Had the car over a year, $500/mo payments, never late, never missed one payment. Car has been fully insured since day 1 and the registration was just paid for 2012-2013.
My license was suspended due to court error, I did not know about it, got pulled over and the car was impounded. The next day I went to the court and the case was dismissed due to clerical error. Went to DMV then to the police for an early release. Went to get the car and it was gone. Impounded for less than 3 days, one of them a Sunday, and they repo'd it. I hate to say it, but the local cops are in on it as well. I didn't get it at first, but when they had the car towed, they wrote on the pink piece of paper (numerous scratches and dents) when describing my car. There was not a single scratch or dent anywhere except inside the wheel well, which is not visible (some scratches). So I thought this was bizarre, but there is only one conclusion, now that I see what took place.
I have done my homework, and here's what's going on:
There are two Twin brothers Randy and R...? something. Randy owns USA Auto, his brother owns the Repair shop across from Skateland in Mesa. USA sends all their customers there with promises of discounts. Lobel is probably owned by a brother or a family member too. So, USA sells the cars, the brother performs all the maintenance. Brother does not report to Carfax, so the mileage never increases on carfax. It's not a law that they report, just most mechanics do. So, USA waits a few months after you buy the car, and claims that they are looking for financing for you, and you make the payments to them. They pocket that money, and you never see it as part of your loan. It just disappears. Then the claim to "finally have found someone to finance you" and Lobel picks up the financing from there. They were there from the start, and only do financing for this corrupt ring. It's a phantom business.
Lobel will spend the first 6 months telling you that you don't have insurance, or that their name is not listed as the lienholder. You send it over and over, but they are looking for something else. Once they get it from your insurance agent, your car will be repod. It may be for a day late, or some other bs, and if you do nothing wrong, the police will just impound it for them and they will take it from there.
Then, the car never goes to auction, dream on. The car goes back to the brother at the mechanic shop, he spruces it up, rolls back the odometer to match what is on carfax, which is most like the mileage when you bought it, and the car goes back to USA auto and sold at retail value. They are selling the same cars over and over again at blue book with the same mileage. That's where their cars all come from, and that's the scam. Wouldn't it be nice to have an item, sell it, take it back and sell it over and over again for the same amount? what a deal! Thats whats' happening.
We need to team up. I am in the East valley. This is my email [email protected]
