I started receiving TIME magazine the end of January '17. I thought maybe the first issue was complimentary, so when I got the second issue, I immediately called TIME (800 843-TIME) since I had not subscribed or authorized anyone to subscribe on my behalf. They were very helpful, cancelled my "subscription", and noted that the order for the 1-year subscription was placed by M2 Media Group at 866 441-1281. Before calling them, I googled them and came across complaintboard.com, and noticed that consumers with similar complaints were not able to get a live person there. However, I did see that other complaints mentioned they recently purchased from FragranceNet.com, as I did as well in Dec. '16. I called FrangranceNet, and spoke to customer service and the girl said that customers who order more than $50 in merchandise get a free one year subscription as a bonus, free of charge. She assured me that no credit card info is passed along to M2 Media Group. She said that it is noted on the Check-out cart that the consumer gets a free subscription, but I don't recall seeing that in my order. I suggested that she tell management to give the consumer a more prominent CHOICE if they want the freebee or not.
