The documentation is a little lacking. I figured out on my own that Magic Jack requires that you have internet service. You can attach Magic Jack to a computer (that is connected to the internet) or a modem. Many of the internet providers bundle telephone service with internet service. So a land line or cell phone may be cheaper than having to get the internet service just to use Magic Jack. Magic Jack may save you 5$ a month over internet phone bundling programs. (VOIP, look it up) You may have some minor brain damage if you did not realize this before getting this device. Given this, I highly suggest you do not try challenging activities such as boiling water. As it does require water and fire. Two very important ingredients when boiling water but very dangerous (individually or in combination). Even though I hate the MJ, I hate people like you even more. Please have your head examined.
